EES Department Student Life

EES Student Study Space

The EES student study space is located on the third floor of the Natural Sciences Building in Rm 317. This space is managed by the Geology Club for the benefit of all EES students.

Geology Club

The Geology club is open to anyone interested in rocks, fossils and everying geology. All majors are welcome to join. Activities include field trips to go rock collecting as a club. Meetings are currently on Wednesdays from 7-8 pm in Natural Sciences Room 304. 

Astrobiology Club

The Astrobiology Club is an interactive organization that shares the many applications and sides of Astrobiology and creates a space for learning. It will focus on providing resources and opportunities for people interested in pursuing an astrobiology career, create discussion sessions to exchange ideas focused on Astrobiology-related topics, and engage students through practical laboratory sessions and field trip activities. Furthermore, it is of interest to participate in outreach activities,  connect students interested in Astrobiology to other relevant institutions, and encourage their participation in forums, conferences, and internships.

EES Student Awards

EES offers awards to both graduate and undergraduate students. Funded by the generous donation of our Alumni and Friends, these awards are used to encourage academic excellence, promote professional skill building, and enhance the quality of the students we graduate.
