EES Guest Speaker - Dr. Ethan Theuerkauf
This week’s seminar speaker is Dr. Ethan Theuerkauf from the Department of Geography.
Talk Title: Drivers and impacts of geomorphic change along Great Lakes coastlines
Ethan is a coastal geomorphologist whose research focuses on how and why coastal landscapes, such as beaches, barrier islands, and wetlands, change across timescales ranging from storms to millennia. His research aims to document how coastal environments are changing, what processes are driving change, and what the implications for change are for humans and ecological systems. He places on emphasis on understanding how coastal systems might evolve in the future and aiding in coastal management decisions.
