Join us this Friday, November 10th at to learn more about "The Wandering Falkland Islands: A Geologic Odyssey"!
"This talk will present a synthesis of Dr. Roberts' long-term research program in the Western Branch of the East African Rift System. I will also include a general summary of my collaborations with other scientist and industry to investigate the potential for hydrocarbons, diamonds, and most recently helium in the region, as well as a long-term investigations into the tectonic and biotic evolution of the East African Rift System. In this talk I will also explore what the “Helium System” is and the recent boom in helium exploration globally, as well as specifically in the rift.
