Jeffery Nytch presents "Geology of a Symphony", October 26, 2016
Jeffery Nytch, Composer and Director of the Entrepreneurship Center for Music at University of Colorado Boulder, will present "Geology of a Symphony", October 26, 2016 at 12:30 PM in 105 Natural Science Building. He describes the geologic concepts addressed in his Symphony No. 1 “Formations” and how those events and processes are represented in the music. By utilizing his Bachelors Degree in Geology from Franklin & Marshall College, and the better share of a Masters in Geology, Nytch speaks to those in the field with a degree of fluency that goes beyond the layperson. Nytch’s Symphony No. 1 “Formations” will be performed by the MSU Symphony Orchestra on Friday, October 28 at Wharton Center. Admission is free for students.
