The Department of Geological Sciences & the Center for Integrative Studies in General Science jointly seek to fill a fixed-term faculty position. Appointment begins 8/16/15 and is a renewable, 9 month position with continuation based on satisfactory performance. Responsibilities include teaching integrative science courses (e.g., History of Life; Climate Change) and Earth Science courses, including opportunities to teach upper-level courses in Geological Sciences. Opportunities exist to build online courses and to collaborate with researchers engaged in disciplinary-based science education. Summer semester teaching for additional pay is possible. Minimum qualifications include: Ph.D. in Earth Sciences, related field, or in science education with an Earth Science emphasis, and evidence of experience in teaching undergraduate science courses.
