EES Distinguished Speaker Series Welcomes Dr. Matthew Kirk

This week, Dr. Matthew Kirk is the EES Distinguished Speaker. His talk is titled "Biogeochemical Controls on Microbialactivity in Anoxic Environments"

Kirk is a biogeochemist that carries out geomicrobiology and hydrogeology research related to water quality and energy. Current projects in his group include efforts to better understand impacts of agricultural contamination on High Plains aquifer groundwater, environmental factors that influence interactions of aquifer microbes, controls on arsenic mobility in groundwater, and factors that influence biological formation of natural gas in unconventional reservoirs.

Join us for this facinating presentation on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 12:30 PM in Room 204 Natural Science building on the East Lansing campus.
