Darwin Discovery Day:

Free family-friendly event to celebrate Charles Darwin's 207th birthday.  Join us for our 12th year showcasing the treasures of the natural world housed at the MSU Museum.  Explore the theme "Natural Attraction" with Museum curators and scientists from across MSU.

Learn about fossils, insects, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, plants, human ancestors, evolution, rocks, minerals, and more!

  • Earn a prize with a KidZone passport
  • Take a behind-the-scene tour of the Vertebrate Collections
  • Meet Charles Darwin
  • Eat birthday cake
  • Bring in a rock, bone, fossil or other natural specimen for a scientist to identify

Free planetarium shows: "Natural Selection", the story of Darwin's explorations and discoveries: Saturday, Feb. 6 at 12:30pm; Sunday Feb. 14 at noon and 4pm. Abrams Planetarium, 755 Science Rd.
