Undergrads win honors at North-Central GSA meeting

Geological Sciences senior Jordan Hein won the Best Undergraduate Student Paper Award from the Great Lakes Section of the Society for Sedimentary Geology for his poster “Quantifying bank erosion and channel sedimentation on the Torch, Rapid and Grass rivers in Northern Lower Michigan”, presented at the North-Central Section Meeting of the GSA in Kalamazoo. Co-authors on the abstract were Anthony Kendall and Blaze Budd. GLG Senior Nicholas Martin earned an Honorable Mention for his presentation on “Unintended cuing in test design: College student data and spacial analysis of eye tracking.” Nick’s co-authors were Julie Libarkin, Emily Geraghty Ward, and Sarah Jardeleza.The meeting was held on the campus of Western Michigan University, May 2-3.
